I am the owner and operator of While You’re Gone, a home watch service built with care and family values at its core based in the Niagara Region. Having lived here my entire life, I chose to stay and build a life in the community I know best. I’m proud to continue the family tradition, working alongside my parents, Ron and Carol Colangelo—the original founders of While You’re Gone—together we bring over 10 years of experience to the team and continue to provide reliable, caring service.

We have used While You’re Gone on several occasions over the years, whether we’re away from home for just a couple of weeks or a couple of months. Carol and Ron are always responsive to our needs and go the extra mile to make sure our home is well cared for in our absence. We especially appreciate the text updates after each visit to confirm all is well at home. Peace of mind while travelling is a great feeling!

We have had a few house watch services, and While You’re Gone Home Watch is, by far, the best. Carol and Ron complete a detailed questionnaire on every visit. We are very pleased and confident that our home is in good hands, while we are away.

We have engaged the services of “While You’re Gone Home Watch Services” for the past five years to look after our house in the Niagara Region while we spent our winters in Florida. Carol and Ron checked on our house on a weekly basis, inspecting all rooms, flushing the toilets, picking up our mail from the community mailbox, sorting the junk mail from the personally addressed mail (which they forwarded to Florida once per month) and shoveling snow off our front steps. Each week they provided a report via email to us on their inspection. Carol and Ron provided a very professional, reliable and reasonably priced service that allowed us to enjoy our time away without any worries about our home back in Canada. We wholeheartedly recommend their services.
