Monitor and maintain your home while you’re gone.

We provide a thorough exterior and interior check. Please see Services for more information.

Supervise scheduled services.

We can monitor any service calls or scheduled maintenance appointments at your home such as pool cleaning, lawn care, appliance repairs and renovations.

Check for unexpected damage and coordinate repairs.

We check on your home after severe weather events to ensure that there was no physical damage to your property. If repairs are necessary, we can, with your input, coordinate the work so that you arrive home to find your house just as you left it.

Prepare your home for your arrival.

We can purchase essential grocery items and adjust your thermostat so that you have less to worry about when you return home.

Regular home visits

Regular home visits help to identify small problems such as water leaks or mechanical failures before becoming a big problem. If a problem occurs at your home, when would you find out? How much additional damage has occurred in the meantime?

Personalized home management

We would love to arrange a meeting with you so that we can discuss your specific needs and develop a personalized home management plan.

Thorough inspections

It can be asking a lot of family, friends or neighbors to watch your home while you’re away. We can provide regular, thorough inspections and keep you updated.

Insurance

Check your home insurance policy very closely. There will be defined criteria in your policy that will qualify you for coverage to ensure your home is protected when you are away and to ensure your home insurance policy is valid in case of an unforeseen event while you are away. It is your responsibility to engage your home watch provider for the visit frequency that meets the rules of your insurer. Your neighbor or family members do not always qualify as proof your home was physically inspected as needed while you were away.

Post storm checks

We will provide a complimentary drive-by of your home following any extreme weather events to ensure that there was no physical damage to your property if event occurs outside of our planned home visit schedule.

We have engaged the services of “While You’re Gone Home Watch Services” for the past five years to look after our house in the Niagara Region while we spent our winters in Florida. Carol and Ron checked on our house on a weekly basis, inspecting all rooms, flushing the toilets, picking up our mail from the community mailbox, sorting the junk mail from the personally addressed mail (which they forwarded to Florida once per month) and shoveling snow off our front steps. Each week they provided a report via email to us on their inspection. Carol and Ron provided a very professional, reliable and reasonably priced service that allowed us to enjoy our time away without any worries about our home back in Canada.
